Vectra combines our print and Insert services with the UPS WorldShip method to allow fast, accurate and cost effective communications. Using the same technology for processing standard postal mail we now provide the same service using UPS as the delivery method. It all starts with your database of customers. We print the notice or letter and input the UPS shipping information into WorldShip for distribution. UPS shipping labels are printed after direct input to the UPS ship system. Using automated “Intelligent Inserting” equipment, we check the match of the letter to the UPS Label through use of cameras and a 2D barcode. If it doesn’t match – the machine stops. This provides you with accurancy of insertion. Your customer notice is inserted along with the UPS label which shows through a UPS Window envelope and then sealed in one complete process. Lastly, we count and bag the UPS pieces. Coordinating with UPS for pickup and distribution assures you on time delivery based on your shipment method. Pickup confirmation and tracking numbers are supplied through the UPS system. – MSBV.com

        November 2011 marks the successful completion of Avista’s 2011 CFL (compact fluorescent light bulb) direct mail project to its Washington and Idaho residential and small business customers. The CFL direct mail project was part of Avista’s efforts to help customers reduce their energy use while helping Avista meet mandated energy savings targets under the state of Washington’s Energy Independence Act (I-937). The CFL project is expected to deliver 50.4 million kilowatt-hours in energy savings to Avista customers. By mid-July 2011, Avista customers who didn’t opt-out of the program began receiving a Lighting Efficiency Kit containing eight CFLs, turn-it-off stickers, a lighting brochure and a cover letter explaining the program. Besides helping customers and Avista save energy, the CFL project had far-reaching benefits. Mailstream USA, a local mail distribution firm, put twenty-three people to work who were formerly unemployed. The United States Postal Service (USPS) was so impressed with their work they encouraged Mailstream employees to bid on holiday employment with USPS. This video shows the process of getting all those kits to your doorstep.
